Terms of Service
Last updated May 18, 2026
Short version
- Your content is yours. Uploads and generated quizzes stay your property. We never train AI on them.
- The AI is a draft writer, not a teacher. Every output is yours to review and edit before students see it — you're responsible for what you publish.
- Cancel any time, keep your library. Downgrade to Free at the end of your billing period; every quiz you already made stays editable and exportable forever.
- Refunds within 7 days of first charge, no questions. Email yaoyanweb@gmail.com — Connor handles personally. (See §6 for fine print.)
1. Who this is between
“QuizCraft”, “we”, “us” — the QuizCraft AI service, operated by Connor Yao (an individual, reachable at yaoyanweb@gmail.com).
“You” — the person signing in and using the service. By creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you're using QuizCraft on behalf of a school or district, you confirm you're authorized to bind that organization.
2. What you get
- Free plan: up to 5 AI quiz generations per month, 10 questions per quiz, PDF export, source files kept 7 days.
- Pro plan: up to 100 AI quiz generations per month, 50 questions per quiz, all export formats (Canvas QTI, Google Forms, PDF, Word), source files kept forever.
- Exports (PDF, Word, QTI, Google Forms) are unlimited on every plan — only AI generation counts toward the monthly quota.
3. Your content stays yours
Anything you upload (lessons, PDFs, docs) or generate (quizzes, questions, edits) belongs to you. We need a narrow license to store and process it on our infrastructure so the service can function — for example, sending it to our AI provider when you click Generate. We don't use it for anything else: no training, no analytics joins, no resale, no advertising.
See our Privacy Policy for the full list of sub-processors that touch your data.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use QuizCraft to:
- Generate content that's illegal where you live.
- Process material you don't have the right to use (someone else's copyrighted textbook chapter you scraped, etc.).
- Spam our AI endpoint, bypass rate limits, share one paid account across an unlimited number of people, or otherwise abuse the service.
- Reverse-engineer the prompts or attempt to extract our model provider's system messages.
If we have to suspend or terminate an account for any of the above, we'll email you first if it's safe to do so.
5. AI output disclaimer
AI-generated questions are best treated as drafts. Every question links back to the source passage it was based on, and we strongly encourage you to verify each question before publishing to your students. We aren't responsible for factual errors, biased phrasing, or off-curriculum content that slips through — that's why the source citations exist.
6. Payment, renewal, and refunds
- Paid plans are billed monthly ($12/month) or annually ($79/year) in advance, by our payment processor creem.io.
- Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each period until you cancel. Cancel any time from your account page — Pro stays active through the end of the period you already paid for.
- We offer a no-questions-asked refund within 7 days of your first paid charge. After that, refunds are at our discretion — email yaoyanweb@gmail.com and a real human will reply.
- Prices may change. Existing subscribers keep their current price for at least 12 months from any change announcement; we'll email you in advance.
7. Cancellation and account deletion
- Cancel a paid subscription any time — your library stays editable and exportable forever, even on the Free plan.
- Delete your account by emailing yaoyanweb@gmail.com. We'll erase everything within 7 days, including source files, quizzes, and payment IDs.
8. Uptime and service levels
QuizCraft is provided on an “as is” basis. We aim for high availability but we don't offer a formal SLA on the Free or Pro plans. If outages cause meaningful disruption to a paid plan, email us — we'll do the right thing.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuizCraft is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any direct claim is capped at the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $50, whichever is greater).
Nothing in these terms excludes liability we can't exclude by law (e.g. gross negligence or willful misconduct).
10. Changes to these terms
We'll edit this page when something material changes, and email account holders at least 14 days before any change that could meaningfully affect them. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes go to the state and federal courts located in San Francisco County — unless you're a consumer in a jurisdiction that grants you the right to your local court, in which case those rights apply.
